The Red Dance

This dance is suitable for experienced dancers only. You need to be an independent dancer with the ability to dance an unfamiliar dance – from a brief only. This dance may occasionally be walked once (quickly).

    1-2   Taking nearer hands, 1’s lead down below 3’s as 2’s move up

    3-4   1’s cast up on own sides to 2nd place;

    5-8   2’s with 1L and 1M with 3’s right hands across;

    9-12 1’s half diagonal reel of 4 with first corners;

    13-16 1’s half diagonal reel of 4 with second corners, finishing by taking left hands;

    17-24 1’s turn about ¾ by the left into reels of 3 across, 1L with 2’s, 1M with 3’s, starting with left shoulder to first corner positions and finishing 1’s in 2nd place on own sides, 3’s at the top on opposite sides, 2’s at the bottom on opposite sides;

    25-28 3L,1’s,2M half diagonal rights and lefts;

    29-32 3M,1’s,2L half diagonal rights and lefts, finishing 2,1,3
