
Diane learned Tap Dancing in the UK achieving bronze, silver and gold adult medals, before coming to NZ. Having arrived in NZ in 1999 and unable to find an adult tap class locally, she began Scottish Country Dancing in 2000. She successfully gained her teacher’s certificate during the Dunedin Summer School 2010-2011.
Diane taught the club’s Children’s class for 8 years. Since qualifying she has done relieving at various local clubs, and also taught at the Wellington Region classes, JAM Camp, weekend schools & 2 NZ Summer Schools, as well as emceeing at region and summer school events. She recently taught a 4-hour class introducing the dances from the new RSCDS Book 54. Diane has also started learning Rock & Roll dancing, having had a go at a recent Summer School afternoon class.
